Don't be a Pig in a Panic!
This is the story of three little pigs in the jungle. Freddie the fearful, Harry in a hurry and Larry the listener are all students of Old Uncle Boar who instructs them how to stay safe. Uncle Boar quotes Franklin Piggleton’s words: “Look Before You Leap” and “Haste Makes Waste.” The three pigs react to dangerous predators according to their own natures.
The theme of the book is to pay attention to your surroundings and be aware of danger: thus “look before you leap.”
The book is beautifully illustrated with colorful and interesting pictures that will engage children in the story. Grade school children will enjoy this book.
Leila’s inspirations include her time as a missionary in Honduras, knowledge of the behavior of pigs and snakes and a humorous outlook on life. Benjamin Franklin has been a big inspiration to her.
